Well, maybe not that big...

The first comic Previous comic Stop Next comic Today's comic

I don't know if anyone cares, but this is the first time a character has actually been called by name in this comic, other than here, which is actually another comic, or these two Sketch Book Days, which are more along the lines of “Real Life Mini Adventures of the Cartoonist” than “RF Cannon” (And before anyone argues that it’s no different from these three strips, I wish to point out that it’s a completely different thing entirely because ... uh ... Jeff wasn’t actually there in real life! Yeah, that’s the ticket! Now please ignore the fact that both my name and Jeff’s are on the whiteboard in the first two strips, though mine is obscured, perhaps fooling people into thinking the guy who does Sexy Losers works there. Altoona also has a Jeff, but they have a Bernard instead of a Bernhard).
Initially I wasn’t sure what to name the Fanboys. I thought of using our middle names (or in my case, my first name), or not naming them at all (though that didn’t exactly work for Penny Arcade, but in their defense I should point out that the characters weren’t originally intended to be comic strip versions of Gabe and Tycho, which explains why they look nothing like themselves). I may even, while suffering from the same delusions of grandeur that made me think my donation boxes would actually get any donations, have considered holding a contest asking my many readers (ha!) to name them.
Jeff may have influenced me when he once referred to the comic (before I got my Keenspace account and put it online) as “The Adventures of Bernhard and Jeff,” but I think the final decision came when I did the first M.O.R.O.N.S. guest strip, I suddenly decided that for some reason it was absolutely vital that Squirle call me by name, and rather than have the guest strip done by one friend of Squirle’s you never heard of, and have Squirle talk to another friend you never heard of ... I dunno, for some reason it seemed vitally important at the time, and since the “Bernhard” character was named “Bernhard,” it only seems right that the “Jeff” character be named “Jeff.”
In other news, Daredevil (which I loved, as previously mentioned) has apparently gotten a ton of negative reviews, there’s finally a new KoDT Flash animation at Hoody Hoo, and it’s time to plug Comixpedia again.
Plug!
Once again, the strip takes place a few months ago, because once again I was too lazy to draw it then. Suffice to say, the Steel Battalion Controller is big, and you can only buy the game and controller together (which makes sense, as neither will work without the other). It's too bad Sega didn't do the same with Samba de Amigo ...

Addendum:
Uh ... it’s made by Capcom, not Sega ...
